My interactive app name Reminder. It helps users to collect their living datas and make their own digital memoirs for each day.

First, Reminder will establish the shared service of the data and functions’ sharing with users’ phone. it will collect the data of users’ photos from camera of everyday. Users can select the photos that they like and upload. Also, the data from Google calendar or iPhone’s own calendar can be uploaded to the Reminder. Therefore, Reminder will collect the pictures and notes through users’ phone easily.

In addition, users can set up a time for them to do their diary on the Reminder. Users can create their diaries by three ways: video, text and notes, and pictures. After the day, users can not change the content of the diary, but they can add some notes anytime.

A interesting function of Reminder is that users can check the top three apps that most frequently-used, the top three places that they stay, the top three days’ diaries that they frequently-reviewed. All the datas will be collected by users’ own phones. Also, users can share their memories and everyday’s rankings to others or other apps. The rankings will be change by the updating of the datas.

1. What is the problem being solved?

Most of planning and diary recording apps’ functions are relatively simplex, such as MyWeek (a planning app), Google calendar, and Su (a diary recording app). Many people would like to plan and record their daily lives. However, it is complex that download several apps and switch many times for different functions. Reminder will collect the datas from users’ phone and combine these together to make users’ own memoirs of everyday. It will makes users’ lives easer. In addition, users can see what they frequently-used, saw, and stayed everyday. (The rankings will be change by the updating of the datas.)

2.   The project expectations:

For this project, I want to make it easier to record the daily life and recall the past.

3.   Who is the audience?

The audiences is all people, especially the people who would like to record their lives and share their thinkings, experiences, and moods with their friends.

Make/ Prototypes

The first prototype is very different with the final one. The first one is separated to two parts, Planning and Diary. However, they do not have any connection between each other. It just like a combination of two apps. After the first user’s experience, I found that it did not achieve my goal that making users’ planning, recording and recalling their lives and memories be easier. So, I added some functions and made the interfaces be cleaner and simpler. At the last prototyping test, I saw the problems that this app was not interactive and it have to be simplifier to operate. So that I used bottom bar to solve these problems. After last class critique, I found that it combined too many functions which made it become complex. So I changed the way to record the users’ information, that is building the connection with the datas of users’ phone. Therefore, users do not have to open Reminder when they want to record something each time. They can choose the things that they want to add to their memories through their phone’s datas. Also, I add a new function that is showing the rankings of the most frequently used apps, the most frequently memories reviewed, and the places that users stayed longest. The uses’ phone will share the datas in order to give the rankings.
